RTC-Iligan Conducts Capability Building Program on DomRAC NC II

The Regional Training Center – Iligan (RTC-Iligan), conducted a Capability Building Program on Domestic Refrigeration and Air-conditioning (DomRAC) NC II from March 24 to 28, 2025. The program aimed to enhance the technical competencies of participants in the installation, maintenance, and repair of domestic refrigeration and air-conditioning units. Participants were equipped with both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience in key areas of DomRAC servicing, preparing them to meet industry standards and requirements. The training was facilitated by Mr. Kim Bryan Cadaycaday, TESD Specialist II of RTC-Tagoloan, and Mr. Richard A. Quinaquin, Senior TESD Specialist of RTC-Iligan. Their expertise and commitment significantly contributed to the success of the program, empowering participants with valuable technical skills in DomRAC NC II.

Conduct of Skills Training in Basic Lay-out using SketchUp

RTC-Iligan / 2025-04-29

The Regional Training Center-Iligan conducted a skills training on “Basic Layout Using SketchUp” from April 29 to May 6, 2025, as part of TESDA’s Community-Based Training program. This initiative aimed to introduce participants to the fundamentals of 3D modeling and digital layout using the user-friendly SketchUp software. The five-day training was facilitated by Ms. Marie Chello B. Calo, TESD Specialist I and Trainer of Technical Drafting NC II. It provided participants with both theoretical knowledge and practical experience in basic digital design, fostering an engaging and supportive learning environment. This effort reflects TESDA’s ongoing commitment to empowering communities by offering accessible and relevant training opportunities. By integrating digital tools like SketchUp into its programs, TESDA continues to bridge the gap between traditional labor and the growing need for technology-driven competencies.

Conduct Community-Based Training to Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL)

BJMP, Iligan City / 2025-05-05

A five-day Community-Based Training was successfully conducted from May 5 to 9, 2025, through a meaningful collaboration between the Regional Training Center – Iligan and the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) – Iligan City Jail. This initiative aimed to empower Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) by providing them with essential livelihood skills that could support their reintegration into society and improve their future economic opportunities. RTC-Iligan conducted skill straining in Cookies and Tart Making and Basic Automotive Starting System Troubleshooting & Repair. The training sessions were skillfully facilitated by Ms. Maria Glaiza M. Sandoval and Mr. Marjon L. Duayao, with the support of RTC-Iligan Center Administrator, Ms. Sittie Aliah A. Limbao, SCL, JD. Their unwavering dedication and expertise significantly contributed to the success of the program. The trainees participated actively, gaining hands-on experience in baking and automotive diagnostics. The initiative not only equipped the participants with valuable livelihood skills but also served as a step forward in their personal growth and rehabilitation journey. Through this initiative, RTC-Iligan continues to uphold its commitment to rehabilitation, inclusive development, and building opportunities for every Filipino regardless of circumstance.

Graduation Ceremony of trainees in VGD NC II and Driving NC II

RTC-Iligan / 2025-05-08

The Regional Training Center- Iligan held a successful Graduation Ceremony for the Visual Graphic Design NC III and Driving NC II programs under the Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP) on May 8, 2025. The event celebrated the achievements of the graduates who completed their training and are now ready to pursue employment or further career development. Distinguished guests graced the ceremony, lending significance to the occasion. Among them were representatives from key government agencies, including Ms. Norol-Iman I. Mocali, SCL, LEO III of the Migrant Worker Protection Division, DMW RO-X, representing Ms. Anna Liza V. Tiglao, OIC-Regional Director of the Department of Migrant Workers – Region X; and Ms. Faisalia M. Bato, Supervising TESD Specialist, representing Provincial Director Norayah A. Acas, JD, of TESDA Lanao del Norte. Center Administrator Sittie Aliah Ali Limbao, SCL, JD, also shared her message of support. Their inspirational words emphasized the transformative power of technical-vocational education and the vital role of programs like TWSP in uplifting communities and empowering Filipino workers. Excellence Awardees were recognized for their outstanding performance and dedication. All graduates received their Training Certificates, and the Training Support Fund (TSF) was released to assist them as they transition into the workforce or start their own ventures.
